The good news for Teesside?s comedy fans keeps storming ahead, with top telly character comic Lee Nelson confirmed for Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt on Thursday 12 November.

Part of a critically acclaimed tour extended by huge public demand, the Boro gig will mark a hugely welcome Teesside return for Lee after he wowed comedy fans on his previous Town Hall visit in October 2013.

Known to millions of comedy fans both as host of Live at the Apollo and his own BBC3 series, sharp-eyed TV fans will also remember Lee cheekily trying to board the plane to the World Cup with the England squad last summer.

He now joins an ever-growing list of top comics including Jimmy Carr (28 March & 9 August), Dara O Briain (14 & 15 April), Alan Carr (19 April, plus 29 & 30 July), Dylan Moran (24 April), Katherine Ryan (16 May), Patrick Monahan (13 June), Kevin Bridges (16 July), Paddy McGuinness (29 September), Alan Davies (30 October), and Dave Gorman (21 November) all heading for the Town Hall this year.

In addition, the popular Big Mouth Comedy Club continues to bring a mix of familiar TV faces and some of the best up and coming comics to Boro every month.

Rob Guest of Middlesbrough Town Hall said: ?Lee just absolutely sizzles up there on that stage ? easily one of the best live comics you?ll see this side of anywhere. He went down a storm here a couple of couple of years back, so it?s great to have him back here this autumn with a brand new show.

?It just adds to an incredible year ahead for comedy fans here at the Town Hall,? added Rob. ?We?ve had a constant string of great comics over the last few years, but this year is shaping up to be our best yet ? and there could still be plenty more to come. Watch this space!?
