Each week across the summer we're taking a look at the names who we think will be going on to big things in the future. We've highlighted artists such as Nia Archives, Romy and Blondshell so far and this week we're taking a look at America as we focus on Paris Texas.

Louie Pastel and Felix, the duo who make up Paris Texas exploded in popularity back in 2021 when they released their 'Boy Anonymous' EP. They instantly gained fans through their uncompromising flows that were mixed with an explosive brand of hip-hop that featured frantic, distorted guitars.

Singles such as 'Heavy Metal' felt like a kick to the jaw (in a good way) with a feral energy that incited a revolution in the headphones of whoever listened to it. Pastel produces the album with Felix providing the majority of the bars and they've managed to form a symbiotic creative relationship.

After being relatively quiet, the duo have returned with new music this year and are back with the unstoppable energy that made their debut EP an essential listen in 2021. It has now been announced that their debut album Mid Air will be released July 21st and they've released a couple of the singles.

One of those is 'Bullet Man' which has one of the wildest guitar riffs you'll have heard all week. It feels like you're following the band through the middle of a heist, securing the bag and running alongside them. Verse to verse flows seamlessly, as bar after bar barrages you.

One of the most intense listens you'll have it is completely addictive. It is the perfect example of Pastel's combustive production style and Felix's sharp biting anger that perfectly fits in alongside. At times, their songs sound downright evil. Keep an eye out for their debut album arriving, it won't be long now until they release their first full-length record.
