Our weekly fix of what's been clocking the air miles on our office stereo has arrived; from Bicep edits to new material from Foals, our editorial staff have curated a quintet of sonic metal to spruce up your weekend listening.

Julia Holter 'Feel You'

Julia Holter's Loud City Song was one of the runaway highlights of 2013, so it's great to see her back with new single 'Feel You' - and with it comes perhaps her strongest song to date.

Her sharp, clipped, saccharin sweet vocals tie together a meandering slice of sonic brilliance that peaks and troughs throughout. Unusual chord changes keep you guessing to the end whilst the scope of the whole track is both adventurous and uncompromising. It's pop, but not as we know it.

Dominica 'Gotta Let You Go' (Bicep Edit)

We first heard this in their AVA Festival Boiler Room in May and the requests to the Bicep boys started rolling in instantaneously but they've only recently uploaded it online for everyone to enjoy.

The edit of this nineties club classic has been given the flex treatment and the result is one of the best dancefloor fillers we've heard in ages. It's not gone unnoticed by other artists either, Eats Everything played his edit at The Garden Festival earlier this month.

Bicep are currently in the middle of hosting their own twelve-week residency at London's XOYO, and we can guarentee this track is doing the rounds there.

Tame Impala 'The Less I Know Better'

It only hit the shelves last week, but it seems as if the disco haze of Tame Impala's third album Currents has been resonating our ear drums for far longer.

Everyone has their favourite album tick, but the chunk of funky bass running through 'The Less I Know Better' got us reaching for the nearest disco ball upon first listening and it's been on repeat ever since.

Just a word of warning though, if you're part way through a break up, this song will probably make you want to dance and cry at the same time. Although we're perfectly cool with that and so should you be.

Foals 'Mountain At My Gates'

Reclining from the menace transmitted by 'What Went Down', Foals delivered another pearl from their upcoming album in 'Mountain At My Gates'.

Harking back to a familiar sound via their signature glinting melodies, the track open graciously with delicately plucked strings that layer the song throughout. All building towards a sensational metallic guitar solo, this song is the monumental tease of all teases to every Foals disciple across the land.

Roy Davis Jr featuring Peven Everett 'Gabriel' (Live Garage Version)

The depth and soul this record contains is staggering, as Chicago house maestro Roy Davis Jr injects the spirit of the Windy City into very UK sounding 2step meets UK garage template. It's refined, elegant and sophisticated, whilst being an utter dancefloor bomb at the same time.

Peven Everett's vocals are emotionally charged and authentic, and once the horns come in you just know you'll be giving this numerous spins. Check out our interview with DJ Q who name drops this beast in his A-Z of UK garage.
