Paper Recordings is one of the most timeless institutions on the UK house music scene. the Manchester label was essential release after release during the nineties, a consistent source of deep house nirvana, and it's re-emergence in recent times has been equally emphatic with a flurry of music coming from the likes of Sleazy McQueen, Faze Action, Greg Wilson and Jamie L.

Their offshoot Paper Disco is all set to release Trash the Wax in early April, featuring tracks and edits from Late Nite Tuff Guy, Richard Seaborne, Ste Spandex, Neil Diablo and Chris Massey, as well as a certain Fingerman who delivered a promo mix for the compilation. You can stream that bad boy above. 

Trash the Wax has it's own launch party on Saturday 1st March, with the paper recordings jet set bringing a ridiculously funky soundclash for an obscenely cheap price - tickets are available here for just four pounds. Trash the Kraak sees them taking over the Kraak Gallery nestled in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter, a gloriously intimate and salubrious confine for the collective to explore the outer reaches of their record collections.

Line up wise both Massey and Spandex feature to represent the compilation's lifeblood, with further turns form the glitterati of the Paper family. They number among their ranks fallen superhero Flash Atkins with his dirt laced disco sound, and further turns from both 2 Billion beats and CF.

You can expect a whirlwind dervish of disco, proto house, italo classics and much more to feature across the event, with the mix from Fingerman an indication of the funk driven block party vibes which will be the cornerstone of the party. To ensnare your tickets head on over to the full listing.
