Yorkshire noisemakers Hookworms have announced details of UK shows where they will deliver their unique blend of electronic sounds, psych rock magic and deep rooted grooves.
The band, who are signed to legendary indie label Domino, are made up of five members JN, JW, MB, MJ and SS and are something of an live phenomenon with famous fans in the form of Bobby Gillespie, Charlotte Church and more.
The group's last album, 2014's The Hum and subsequent tour marked a change in ethos for the band. In the midst of performances at psych festivals across the world, in 2015 the band played an improvised live set with Spaceman 3 producer and Moog enthusiast Richard Formby on a Recon Festival bill also featuring US techno producers Karen Gwyer and Container.
This was the first time the group introduced synthesizers, drum machines and samples into their sets, and set a precedent for their forthcoming record Microshift, which they will be exhibiting in both Birmingham and Liverpool, as well as a double header at The White Hotel in Salford, in early 2018.
