As if Christmas wasn't exciting enough with all the eating, drinking and presents, we also get a shit load of seriously good clubbing. There's always a wide range of nights to choose from, each with their own extra special line up. This Boxing Day we chose Circus, where head honcho Yousef followed tradition to bring the night back to Camp & Furnace for the second year running, joined by Loco Dice, Jamie Jones and Scuba.

The club was rammed. We squeezed through to the front of the huge warehouse to find Yousef had already taken over the stage, smashing out his usual exciting, party techno house to the people. He conjured an excellent mix of old and new, complete with classic gems you don't always hear any more like Pablo Cahn's Cadenza hit 'Elle', which was an absolute pleasure. He warmed up the crowd up in style for the massive headliners that were to follow.

Yousef welcomed Loco Dice onto the stage with Oxia's 'Whole Life' before handing over the reigns to the Desolat don. Dice wasted no time shaking it up with his rolling drums, laden with huge build ups that got hands high in the air across the room. Driving bass bellowed as he smashed drops down upon us, the energetic techno being more than enough to create an electric atmosphere across the club that made for a proper party; a whole load of festive fun.

Jamie Jones was up next, with his deeper infusion of techno and house. Following on from two techno house heavyweights, Jones steered away from the typical Hot Creations sound to provide a more techy feel, which was greatly received by the crowd. Impeccable mixing and a bunch of deep delights later, and we were already preparing for the final tune of the night which, to our disappoint, was 'Benediction'. The night had gone so fast… although they do say that time flies when you're having fun - and we were having serious amounts of it.

Circus had been the ideal way to spend Boxing night, with high spirits and high energy all around. Queuing on arrival had been a bit of a pain, some us having to wait a long while before actually getting in, and once in the club it had been a real squeeze getting about the place. This has however become something to expect at big nights such as this and once we'd set up camp at our spot, all that mattered was the music. The tunes had been top notch from start to finish; overall a brilliant night!
