What began back in 1993 as a one of event to raise the urgent funds needed to spring a close friend from an Indian jail on dubious drug charges, soon turned into a widespread and inspirational phenomenon that became renowned for its promotion of friendship, spirituality and good vibes, all with a Goa Trance soundtrack.
The night went on to not only conquer the UK, but also to Japan, South Africa, France, Greece and countless other countries, becoming one of the most renowned Goa Trance parties in the world, leaving a legacy behind for its own unique clubbing philosophy that also explored eastern concepts like Chakras, Spirit Channeling, Sacred Sites, Crystology and more.
It's now 21 years later, and the original four members that in part kickstarted the Goa revolution in the UK reconvene on August 1st at Electric Brixton, formerly Fridge, a venue where Return To The Source had enjoyed one of its famous residencies.
Expect the venue to be transformed into a modern day dance temple, complete with a shaman blessed dancefloor recreating the night's famous Sacred Trance Floor.
The likes of Man With No Name, Manmademan (check out his live psytrance set above) and Medicine Drum will all be unleashing a live music masterclass, whilst Tsuyoshi Suzuki gets involved too alongside Jajyu for a Goa trance meets violin spectacular.
Mark Allen (hear his mix from back in the day below), John Phantasm and Shakti are just some of the others displaying their transcendental sonic wares.
Also expect to witness the room to be decorated with fluorescent images depicting including Pagan, Native American, Mayan and Extra-Terrestrial deities, whilst the trance will begin with a colour coded guided journey through the Chakras by Leola Antara of the Sushumna Ritual Dance Theatre.
