It has been announced that the influential artist Coolio has passed away. Most famously known for his hit Gangsta's Paradise, he was hugely successful in the 90's and a beloved character within the music industry. This is a huge loss and the outpouring of love for him today from across the world says it all.

His other hits included Fantastic Voyage, 1,2,3,4 (sumpin' new) and It's All The Way Live (now). It was Gangsta's Paradise that won him a Grammy award for best solo rap performance, and he was nominated five other times throughout his career. Later on he would go on to appear in numerous films and TV shows as well as find time to become a chef.

A loveable character that worked his way up from the very bottom to get to the top and the influence and respect that this got him from his peers was completely deserved. He has left us with music that will stand the test of time, Gangsta's Paradise can still be heard everywhere to this day and that will carry on for quite some time. There will never be another Coolio and there's no better time to celebrate his career and journey.
