Ramsbottom Festival Information

Here is some information to make your weekend run as smooth as possible.

We have produced a lovely looking programme and you can take a look here - Ramsbottom Festival Programme There is no need to print it though as well be handing them out free when you arrive.

Parking

We have secured the use of Woodhey High School on Bolton Road West., Ramsbottom BL0 9QZ. The car park will be open on Friday - 5pm - 11.30pm, Saturday - 10am - 11.30pm & Sunday - 10am - 11.30pm. The car park will be locked at 11.30pm with no access until the next day. There will be a cost of £5 per car for each day and you can pay when you arrive. There will be a shuttle bus service running to and from the car park to the festival site.

The Police have informed us that any cars parking in residential streets will be towed. Parking in the town centre is limited to two hours.

Camping

We have made arrangements with the Fishermans Retreat who are offering camping facilities for the weekend. Spaces are selling quickly so be quick if you want to camp for the weekend. The campsite will open on Thursday 15 September and close on Monday 19 September and the cost is £15 per tent per night. To book a space please call Steph at the Fisherman's Retreat on 01706 825314, payment must be made in full by credit or debit card at the time of booking. There will be a shuttle bus service running to and from the campsite to the festival site.

Transport - Trains

We've teamed up with the East Lancashire Railway to allow festival goers to arrive in style from Bury on vintage trains. Return tickets are available at £6 per day from http://www.ramsbottomfestival.com/tickets or buy on the day priced at £7. We will also be selling single tickets for the late night service from Ramsbottom to Bury, these will be available from the information point.

You can jump on any of the trains running throughout the day but as these finish at 4.30pm we have added a 5.30pm service from Bury to Ramsbottom. The return train will be at 11.00pm each day from Ramsbottom to Bury.

When you arrive at Bury station please see one of our festival volunteers who will direct you to the trains.

Transport Buses

Our transport sponsor this year is System One. They provide a range of multi-bus and multi-mode tickets and travelcards for unlimited travel on buses, trams and trains in and around Greater Manchester, meaning they'll help you get to and from the festival too!

There will be additional buses running from the festival each night to Bury and Rawtenstall so youll be able to get home safely and quickly.

Kids Camp

If youre bringing kids but fancy a bit of a break, Bury Day Nursery will be providing up to two hours child care for 2 to 11 year olds on Saturday and Sunday up until 8pm. Fully trained nursery staff will be organising a range of activities to keep youngsters busy and a one hour session will cost £5. Places are limited and pre booking is definitely recommended on 0161 763 7061 or by emailing or info@burydaynursery.co.uk for more information or to book.

Disabled Access

There will be disabled parking and access available, if you require disabled parking please contact us so we can make the necessary arrangements. There are a number of pathways around the site, this is an outdoor event and the majority of the site is grass - mobility scooters will be permitted on the site as will all types of wheelchair. At the main stage there will be a raised area for wheelchair users to ensure a view of the stage. This may be repeated at smaller arenas and stages, but this will be governed by space constraint.

Can I bring my own food & drink?

Sadly no all food & drink consumed on site must be bought on site (apart from baby food which may be brought to site), bag searches will be made on entrance to the site.

Can I bring my dog?

No, dogs will not be allowed on site apart from Guide / Assistance Dogs.

Is there a cash machine?

There is no cash machine on site so please ensure you bring enough money with you to cover the day and night.
