Pulp to take over a pub ahead of Wythenshawe Park show

Sheffield-based Brit-pop band, Pulp, will be taking over Manchester's Rat and Pigeon with limited edition merchandise, giveaways and competitions for three days this weekend

Pulp will be taking over a pub in Manchester ahead of their anticipated Wythenshawe Park show.

This weekend, from Friday 28 August to Sunday 30 August, the Rat & Pigeon at 33 Back Piccadilly will be transformed into the Pulp Pop-up Pub. The opening times are midday to 7 pm on Friday, midday till late on Saturday and midday to 2 pm on Sunday.

A series of events will be happening at the pub, such as competitions, limited edition merchandise sold, giveaways and live music. Fans will also have access to test pressings of Pulp’s upcoming live album, ‘Live! ’.

Formed in 1978, the Sheffield-based Britpop act will be headlining at Wythenshawe Park on Friday, joined by special guest Self Esteem. For the first time in 24 years, the members of Pulp will be performing in Manchester; a rare opportunity for Pulp fans to see a live performance.
