Preview: Gold Teeth X Triangular with Todd Edwards

Gold Teeth's myriad of frequent parties across the UK, in Manchester, Sheffield, Nottingham, Liverpool, Leeds and London, have existed predominantly on a weekly basis, hinged on a sea of talented residents and affiliated DJs bringing a mixture of house, hip-hop, bass music and whatever else feels good at the time. They do occasionally though pull a truly world class booking out of the bag to augment all this though, and that's the case for Friday 6th December's installment that sees Todd Edwards coming to Gorilla.

Known simply as Todd 'The God' to his legions of acolytes, Edwards' brand of bouncy 2 step inspired garage has been a focal point of clubland for nearly twenty years. He was a defining voice on the original explosion of UKG in the mid to late nineties, providing a link between what was happening on dancefloors in this country with the original garage sound in New Jersey which was more about swinging house grooves. Still at the top of his game, his May aired Essential Mix (listen above) has just been nominated for Essential Mix of the year and he is quite simply one of the best DJs around.
