Ex-Portishead man Andy Smith will mash up two of his club nights for one huge New Year's Eve party at Horse & Groom Shoreditch in London.

The DJ will take over the downstairs bar of the venue with his Boombox and Reach Up nights colliding as Smith demonstrates that he is a dab hand behind the decks.

Sounds of disco, old school hip hop and reggae will permeate throughout the proceedings as the trip hop troubadour lives up to the accolade of being the first DJ to release a multi-genre mix album on a major label. The Document Vol 1 is still considered one of the most iconic and era-defining mixes of all time, bringing a mixed bag of bangers to one disc including tracks from Tom Jones, Jungle Brothers and more.

Upstairs, The Fancy Dress Society present Time Tinkerers and have promised: "We have built a time machine upstairs and it's time to switch it on during the most time sensitive night of the year."

The collective will bring a host of London selectors to the party with Sass, The Gentleman Rogue and Cusack all bringing the heat behind the decks. An opera singer will accompany all manner of pumping house and techno and naturally, dressing up is wholly encouraged.
