Police Dog Hogan make a welcome return to Glasgow on Friday 3 March as part of an extensive tour throughout February, March and April to promote the band?s brand new studio album. This visit sees the band at St Lukes wheretheir driving country-rock rhythms and Americana vibe will be used to full effect as they showcase material from the new album as well as many of the old favourites.

Released on Major Tom Records the new album is titled ?Wild By The Side Of The Road?. It marks a turning point in the band?s recording career and is already attracting excited interest from local, national and online press and radio. The collective musical skills of the band have been used to full effect to create an album that delivers on both interpretation and atmosphere underpinned by lead singer James Studholme?s lyrics based on stories and personal observations.

?We?ve had two great nights in Glasgow before at Alan Hendry?s Woodend and at the CCA in Sauchiehall Street? explains James Studholme. ?The legendary Glasgow audience really is the best in the world. Even if we can?t understand some of the heckling, you know it?s funny! It?s been riotous for us and we?re looking forward to bringing our new show to Scotland. We?ll be showcasing material from our new CD ?Wild By The Side Of The Road? which includes a new tune, called ?Fare You Well?, about my late Father in Law who was a Skye fisherman exiled to the south?.

Formed in 2009, the band has evolved over the years into a tight-knit eight-piece unit combining guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, accordion, trumpet, keyboards, bass and drums to create an exuberant fusing of country, pop, folk and rocking bluegrass. They have served their time on the touring scene with more than three hundred live shows under their belts, including appearances at the AMA Awards in Nashville and many prestigious UK festivals. They now regularly play to sell-out audiences up and down the country.
