Playground's already staggering lineup has been getting a lot of attention since its announcement earlier in the year. With headliners including the likes of Gary Numan, Squarepusher, Digitalism, Vitalic, Boddika, The Orb, Juan Atkins, Derrick May and James Lavelle, the lineup reads like a who’s who of the biggest names in electronic music past and present. The most recent announcement fits that philosophy perfectly.

Leftfield (DJ Set) have been announced as Playground's latest major players.

Undoubtedly one of the biggest electronic acts that have ever been, their two albums Rhythm & Stealth and Leftism regularly feature in polls as some of the most important electronic albums of all time. The revival of the Leftfield name back in 2010 (after disbanding in 2000) was a welcome return to one of the country's favourite electronic bands. With rumours that Leftfield have started recording new material, their set at Playground (July 7th-8th) is setting up to be something really exciting.

With hype and hysteria towards the festival seeming more justifiable by the day, and with so many important acts lined up for this year, Playground is quickly proving to be THE electronic music festival to get to this year.
