“Ibiza cancelled. No more DJs at San Trinxa,” were the words the Balearic beatmaker initially posted on the platform, seemingly bringing to an end a tradition of the bar that stretches back to its founding in the 70s and has helped shape the island’s iconic music scene.

In the wake of the news, a petition has been launched protesting the decision, which followed concerns over the island’s lack of public spaces and attempts to curb tourism. The petition urges readers to urge community authorities to reconsider the decision. The statement goes on to say, “To preserve this vital piece of Ibiza's music history, please sign this petition and support our cause for music liberty at Sa Trinxa.”
