Skiddle's Ibiza correspondent Jack Law escapes his San An digs for a week in a friend's luxury villa, gets his Aunty and Uncle pissed in the West End, and gets up to no good at Sankeys, Space, Amnesia and Channel Zoo.

Things really started to get exciting over the last few weeks, to say the least. We were about to embark on possibly some of our most intense clubbing outings since we got here, marked by the arrival of a big group of close mates all ready to be shown a good time! They weren't getting here until Friday, so we still had the first part of the week to prepare... and party some more.
Kicking off the week in style, we took a long overdue return trip to DC10 for Circoloco with Cassy, Troxler, Squillace, Tanzmann and Soundorom to name but a few. I would have written a review for it but all I can really remember is this; I don't know what it was that Cassy was playing, but it was bloody ace, and all the other DJs had been on top form as well. Loss of memory isn't like me, but DC10 is a particularly mental club, I'm sure you can understand. Afterwards we had the pleasure of going back to a most luxurious villa in the hills that belonged to some friends, where we saw the morning off in style before calling it a day.
Wednesday was great because my Aunty and Uncle were out on holiday, so we had a lovely day filling up on tapas and getting pissed on the West End. After a fair few bevvies my Uncle and I carried my Aunty back to their hotel before going to meet the lads at Channel Zoo. My Uncle's been coming here for years and he's never had the pleasure, so I thought it about time he did. Steffi was playing with Virginia, so it was definitely a good one to take him to! As we all did, he loved the tunes and he loved the Zoo – it had been a successful induction. He couldn't quite make it to Sankeys though so we popped him on the free bus back to San An before we jumped on our own bus to Bossa.
Tonight, as every Wednesday, was Viva Warriors - and minimal, mechanical mad-heads M.A.N.D.Y were guests alongside Moon Harbour's Martinez and the Viva Warriors. Smashing Channel Zoo hadn't phased us and we continued to smash it some more at Sankeys; the tunes were top notch all night – check out the review here.
The next day was pretty rough as I'm sure you can imagine, so after a day of resting by the pool, we were ready for more action on Friday, the day we had been waiting for for some time...
Our big bunch of pals got here late Friday night just in time for Marco Carola's Music On night at Amnesia. We got to the club at around 3:30am, as Carola began his set on the Terrace. We weren't bothered about the main room (it was dead anyway) as just like all the like minded ravers in there, we wanted a sizeable portion of Marco's music. He punched his unique, rolling techno across the Terrace whilst we all went mad for it in the crowd – and as I danced my socks off on the platform in the middle I got labelled an animal; what can I say, I am a techno warrior.
We all went back to ours for a sesh before moving into a wonderful ten man villa that our mates had rented for the week. It was bloody lovely; we had our own pool, trampoline, hammock and roof terrace with comfy chilling areas outside and in! There were plenty of bedrooms for us all to kip comfortably in, something which me and my season mate Cal were not used to. After living in our shit hole apartment in San An for the last two months (we love it really!), it was an absolute pleasure to be in this villa for the next seven days.
On Sunday we all went to We Love at Space to see Carl Craig and one of our favourites, Joris Voorn. Joris was incredible, we loved it. Check out the review here. Then, as is now common practice after a night of clubbing in Playa d'en Bossa, we headed to the beach for a paddle in the sea, before going back to our lovely new home for a party. The day consisted of decent tunes, lots of booze and plenty of dancing in the pool.
Solomun and his Diynamic crew were next on the list as we went back to Sankeys for Tuesday night. Adriatique were smashing it from the start, followed by Solomun who was pumping out tune after tune after tune, as he likes to do. Stimming performed live with his underwater techno which had us deep-sea diving through the crowd, and David August went b2b with H.O.S.H, with some seriously sexy electronic deep house. I can't find it anywhere at the moment but we heard a great tune towards the end of the night; look out for H.O.S.H's 'No One' coming out on Diynamic. After some more paddling on Bora Bora beach, it was back to the villa for another rather messy yet fun-filled day round the pool.
Thursday was Cal's 21st, so after a serious rest we spent the day chilling at the villa, drinking beers and playing card games, before heading out to a swanky restaurant round the bay of San Antonio called Kuhmaras. It's expensive, but it's worth it; the food and setting is lovely and the tunes are quality. Resident DJ Frank was pumping out some classic Cadenza tech house. When we were well fed and ready for action we all got the bus back to our favourite place Playa d'en Bossa for Richie Hawtin's Enter night at Space, where Dubfire, Matador (live) and Hawtin himself provided the perfect soundtrack for celebrating a 21st; pumping minimal techno! We had a wild night to say the least, I will spare the details on this one...
The week was already nearly over, and the thought of leaving the villa and going back to our basic San An digs was looming, so we took the chance to enjoy what had been a brilliant home for one last night, staying away from the clubs. Saturday was chilled as we got chance to laze by the pool for the day before moving out, but then we had to leave and that wasn't particularly nice. It had been one amazing week in one amazing place however, and it's one we can look back on for a while.
We finished off the week exploring the coast of San An and finding new beaches with those friends that still remained in Ibiza; two had originally booked a few extra days, one couldn't bear leaving just yet so missed her flight and booked another one for a week's time, and another just couldn't face going back at all and has decided to do the rest of the season with us (Ibiza has that effect on some people as I'm sure you can imagine!) We'd had a holiday on a holiday, and it had been a truly memorable two weeks - that's for sure! They are certainly going to be hard to beat...
