From Compton to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, LA rap group NWA jump straight a ground breaking box office hit (watch the trailer below) to being immortalised as Rock and Roll legends.

Seemingly the anomaly, as they're a gangsta rap collective after all, NWA join Chicago, Cheap Trick, Deep Purple and Steve Miller as next year's inductees.

Artists are permitted to enter the Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first album, Straight Outta Compton touched down in '88, their seminal album which marked their legendary status.

NWA join Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, Beastie Boys, Run D.M.C and Public Enemy as rap groups to have already entered the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.
