It's all going off at Band On The Wall this December, as Mr Scruff brings his melting pot of sounds to the venue not once but twice this December - including a NYE spectacular that also features Floating Points.

First taking over the controls on Saturday 6th December fulfilling his monthly residency, Mr Scruff  'keeps it unreal' with his usual genre blurred blessings. He'll be swarming the room with a palette of anything from funk and soul to disco to reggae in order to keep the party people on their toes.

Delving a bit deeper into the electro wizard, his output is clean cut and makes use of some clever sampling, achieving a fun yet intelligent approach that's landed him records on the likes of Ninja Tune.

We'd put our mortgage on his recent long player, Friendly Bacteria, to do the business on the dance floor. A winding journey through some seductive grooves, elements of break beat and glorious funk and soul that features the likes of the legendary Robert Owens and you can listen to Render me' of the album above.

He returns to the venue on New Year's Eve for some more electro rumblings backed by the ethereal talents of Floating Points.

Hi off kilter electronic rhythms combine effortlessly with jazz and funk, evidenced effortlessly by 'Myrtle Avenue' (above). Grab your tickets for New Year's Eve here.
