Mike Joyce and Stephen Street announce UK tour to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Smiths’ ‘The Queen is Dead’
The Smiths’ Mike Joyce and producer Stephen Street will be doing an in-conversation tour for the 40th anniversary of The Queen is Dead. The album was The Smiths’ most celebrated record and NME praised it as the greatest album of all time.
The pair will be performing across the UK in late 2026 to perform and discuss the creative process of each song from the album. People attending the tour will be able to ask questions about the album, see rare footage and listen to stories that haven’t been shared before.
The tour dates will be on the following dates and venues:
October 1 in Stockton, Arc Theatre
October 4 in Manchester, New Century Hall
October 8 in Frome, Cheese & Grain
October 18 in Kidderminster, Town Hall
October 22 Leicester, Y Theatre
November 8 in Liverpool, Tung Auditorium
November 12 in Sheffield, Foundry
November 16 in Edinburgh, Queens Hall
December 5 in London, Kings Place
