Mampi Swift counts down his favourite DnB releases.

Mampi Swift has been a seminal part of the drum n bass scene since the early 90s, building his reputation as one of the genre's legends from the get-go. After launching Charge Recordings in 1997 and releasing the standout 'The One', he fast became a household name in the world of dance music.
Still on fine form, Swift continues to reiterate his positioning as a true originator, playing at key gigs across the globe, forming the backbone to many line ups. As a talented producer and a master behind the decks, we wanted the lowdown on what tracks he truly rates...
This will always be a special track, the title is almost self explanatory. It took one hour to make and was the track which really launched my career, and still gets played by many DJs today even though it's 20 years old.
I heard it in 1993 and it completely blew my mind, instrumental music structured like a song.
After having time away from drum n bass this track was sat there for a couple of years before becoming the no.1 dance floor track of 2012. And it also brought me back to the top of the game once again.
This was an opportunity to showcase my love for vocal music, which my fans hadn't really had the opportunity to hear. This was another anthem in 2013 and took me up another level in some people's eyes as a producer.
For me, this is the darkest, hardest, most tearing DnB track of all. Hearing it for the first time in fabric was a memory I'll never forget; watching the crowd erupt after the drop, it was spine tingling. One of the best intros, if not the best on a DnB track. Perfect.
