Manchester International Festival takes place between Thursday 3rd and Friday 20th July. From the fourth onwards, the Festival Square, the main hub of the festival, will provide free entertainment including live music, performances, panels and more.

There will be a lot of local talent around, with an open call throughout the region resulting in almost 200 artists being added to the lineup. I'll be a bustling space at Aviva Studios, with food and drink being available at local spaces such as Bundobust, Trading Route and Superserve.
Some of the highlights of the Festival Square include a takeover by YES including Chloe Slater and TTSSFU, local club night sets from places such as Funkademia and a takeover from Night & Day which includes Fruit Tones, Madame Claude and more. You can find the full listings and dates for the free Festival Square events here.
