It's not often that a group of major indie thoroughbreds come to town, so it comes as a massive coup when two arrive at once, which is exactly what will happen when indie rockers The Enemy and The Twang arrive in Teesside on Saturday 13th September at Middlesbrough's Empire.

Fronted by lead vocalist Tom Clarke, the band posses an inventory of absolute bangers that many are well acquainted with, meaning their sets are packed with energy and attitude from their stream of guitar led smashers.

Their debut album We'll Live And Die In These Towns rocketed to number one in 2007, still remaining prominent today with a hit of the same name and 'Away From Here' amongst others. The band followed it up with a trio of albums, the latest being Streets In The Sky that packed out arenas in 2012 and bagged the band a slot at Wembley where they blared out 'Saturday' from the stadium roof, see that below.

Another band from the Midlands who've been on the indie radar for slightly longer are The Twang, the band formed in 2001 remained relatively undiscovered until an article from NME magazine blew them into the indie rock stratosphere. Four studio albums later they are recognised as one of the stand out bands of 00's flag ship indie era.

Heralded for their debut album Love It When I Feel Like This reaching the dizzy heights of number 3 in the UK Charts and big hitter 'Barney Rubble' (listen to that one above) which arrived from their second album Jewellery Quarter, the band went on to produce a further two albums including the Guapa EP. The exclusive EP was limited to 1000 copies which sold out almost immediately, confirming that the celebrated band are still as strong as ever. Grab your tickets here
