During a trip to Bali i was appalled by the amount of plastic in the ocean, On closer inspection of the trash i noticed some of it was from the UK. Its easy to blame the local people and think they don't care for the environment. Granted there are issues in their waste disposal and recycling services but ultimately our trash is ending up on the beaches on the other side of the globe causing issues for marine life.

It left me with a feeling in the pit of my stomach that something needed to be done.

Fast forward 12 months and myself and my partner discovered we were gong to be having our first baby. That is one of the most terrifying and amazing and exciting moments you will ever experience. One thing that it does is focus the mind on whats important. The fact is my Grandchildren will see the end of life on this planet as we know it as marine life and insects will be pretty much on the verge of extinction within the next 50 years. Once those little guys go we wont be far behind.

I had to at least try and do something positive. So here we are 12 months later with Little World Market.

Little World is a zero waste market and vegan/vegetarian eatery and event space.
Serving up a variety of mainly plant based breakfast & lunch options.

Little World Cafe is working towards truly zero waste, this includes food waste which will go into our future worm composting facilities.

Little World Market is our onsite zero plastic concept shop. You can bring your own containers to fill up on your organic dried foods, spices and liquids.
We also have second hand containers from our plastic amnesty scheme that provides local food banks a kickback from our reuse of plastic preventing it going to landfill.
We have studio space on site for hire for yoga/workshops/meetings/classes.

We also bring other local ethical business under our umbrella to grow together.

We are currently working towards our sustainable goals for the next 12 months. Along with our composting facility, we are due to start managing our 5 acres of viable land on site for organic farming.

The ethos and purpose behind the project is to discover the viability of an eco business model. We are passionate about the planet, people and good nutritious, sustainable food. We believe we can thrive if we take care of all three.

We hope to welcome you all into our Little World one day. Theres room for us all no matter how little it is.
