For decades, Lee 'Scratch' Perry has been synonymous with the higher echelons of reggae music, so naturally it's a big deal when he comes to town. Lee plays Leicester's 02 academy accompanied by his live band on Thursday 9th April.

Etched into dub folklore as a true innovator of the reggae scene, Lee 'Scratch' Perry has reigned for decades as a benchmark for producers looking to cut their teeth within the genre due to his extreme craft and astute production techniques.

The Grammy award winning artist, gained via his album Jamaican E.T, is celebrated for his convivial live shows that melt together the sounds of the Caribbean alongside his live band, and is responsible for cult classics such as 'Chase The Devil' and 'I Am A Madman'.

He will be supported on the night by native purveyors of reggae and Ska, The Paradimes, Vibronics ft Madu Messenger and I-Mitri - a must attend gig for any in the know dub and reggae enthusiasts. Grab your tickets here.
