As part of Voyage, an exciting new event that is coming to Birmingham, Mehmet Aslan will be performing an impressive 4-hour set at The Hare & Hounds this summer on Friday 3rd August.
Hailing from Switzerland with Turkish heritage, Aslan is a DJ and producer with a rich tapestry of musical influences. Standout tracks like ‘Alysha’ have the uncanny ability to be both deeply brooding and euphoric, a myriad of Eastern-Funk and Futurism.
His breakthrough EP - Mechanical Turk - was released on the coveted Huntley + Palmers label to glowing critical acclaim. The record was hailed by Juno Records as “brilliantly hard to put down”.
A veteran vinyl collector since his early teens, Aslan has built a reputation as an inventive and eclectic selector and will have fans enraptured by a cohort of genre-defying and endlessly immersive vinyl that varies from leftist Techno to Post-Punk Disco.
