Over their 16-year career, after forming in Melbourne in 2010, King Gizzard have released a whopping 28 albums, with 13 of them breaking into the Top 20 in the Australian charts. As one of the country's most recognisable and influential bands, merging genres from folk to electric to classic rock, Stu Mackenzie (vocals/guitar), Ambrose Kenny-Smith (harmonica/vocals/keyboards), Cook Craig (guitar/vocals), Joey Walker (guitar/vocals), Lucas Harwood (bass) and Michael Cavanagh (drums) have undoubtedly pioneered the sound of Australian experimental rock.

Having last played in Manchester in 2024, this lot have only gone and released a further two albums - and fans are itching to hear hits from the dance-forward Alien Metal album live. Well, the wait is over.

The band will play in Manchester on 22nd June 2027 after a couple of weeks touring across the continent, starting the leg at Primavera Sound. Tickets for King Gizzard at Manchester's BEC Arena Outdoors go on sale at 9am on Friday 30th October, and with the wait finally over for fans of this huge band, they're set to go quickly.
