Celebrating one of the most iconic moments in music history, Just For One Day – The Live Aid Musical has announced a major UK tour, set to open at Curve in Leicester in March 2027, before heading out on a country-wide run with dates lined up in Manchester, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Nottingham and more. Further venues are still to be revealed.
Rather than simply recreating the concerts, Just For One Day explores the behind-the-scenes story of how music united the world on 13th July 1985, when 1.5 billion people tuned in to the London and Philadelphia shows, and why the impact of that day continues to resonate decades on.
If you’re keen to catch the show on tour, tickets for selected dates are already on sale, with additional on-sale announcements expected soon via theliveaidmusical.com. Watch the show trailer below!
On the show, Bob Geldof said: "Just For One Day brilliantly reimagines why Live Aid worked then and why the humanity of that day still matters now. I'm delighted that more of the UK and Ireland will finally get to see this extraordinary and compelling musical. The reaction the show gets continually surprises and amazes me, standing ovations and people come back time and again, introducing the Live Aid story to new generations."
The musical is currently midway through a successful West End run, which is set to conclude in February 2026. It opened in May 2025, following a North American run in Toronto and a sold-out world premiere at London’s Old Vic, where it became the fastest-selling musical in the venue’s history.
Packed with songs from artists who defined Live Aid, including Queen, David Bowie, U2, Madonna, Elton John and The Who, the musical continues to support The Band Aid Charitable Trust, having raised £1.5 million to date.
