Since 2011, house music, in particular the tech house genre, has been under the spell of a Berlin born and bred producer,Oliver Seibert aka Oliver $.

Oliver has a back catalogue dating from 2005 with Grand Petrol, he describes his sound as ?groovy chunky beats, with some crazy samples underneath? (Scion Interview 2009).  His Beatport debut back in 2011, ?Doin Ya Thang?,  was an instant success. The 7 minute track sampled a monologue by the legendary Kenny Dixon Jr (Moodymann), the lyrics by the Detroit house music heavyweight along with the low slung bass and punchy mid range, remind us why WeLoveHouse.

Following the success of his breakthrough track, he released ?Granulated Soul?, in 2013 ??Hoes? became a staple on the decks at the finest of dance floors, in the London powerhouse, Egg, with support from the likes of Heidi and Nic Facniulli,  the track saw many a crowd grind and dip to the defamatory lyrics and electronic tech beat.

With bookings across the globe and a host of remix?s and albums lined up, including a Miami compilation for Defected, the future looks bright for this Berlin Boy.

Following the success of their 'Earl' EP on Switzerland's Hive Records, Berlin-based House staple Oliver $ reunites with Swiss Jazz House aficionado Jimi Jules to bring their anticipated debut release on Defected. 'Pushing On' opens with an infectious percussive medley composed of tropical triangles and melodious 808-like cowbells. With the gradual introduction of the moody, Frankie Knuckles inspired, bass line and tailing piano chords, the track slowly transforms into an energetic homage to classic Chicago House. Quick to take centre stage the track also features dusky vocal samples from Quantic Soul Orchestra, merging effortlessly with the wispy cymbal crashes, the song's title and central lyrical theme, "Pushing On", falls and confidently rises to drive the track to its spirited climax. And for those who don't want the vocals there's a dub thrown in for good measure. Already household names in their home countries, 'Pushing On' is sure set to solidify Oliver $ and Jimi Jules as international House providers

We are sure that his performace at this years Ibiza Carnival will be second to none and We cannot wait to see his at the decks.  Tickets are now available for this years event, to be held at Birmingham?s Boxxed.
