Iain Taylor has been on the inside and the underground of Manchester’s club scene for a decade and a half, throwing his own parties and playing gigs that range from small, intimate, shall we say… pseudo-legal affairs to massive, barnstorming raves.  He was Sankeys longest serving resident at Tribal Sessions, played for Warehouse Project at Paradise Factory and is now at Manchester’s bright young thing, Area 51 - as Resident DJ and Joint Head of Music.

 

In terms of production, Iain created his own Rejekt Records imprint, signing talents like Gamal Kabar (Pokerflat / Dessous) and new kid on the block Curious George, firing out releases like The Es Kubells EP (a huge smash with support and chart action from DJs John Digweed, MANDY, DJ Hell & Layo & Bushwacka) followed up by Black & Red, Nervous andtheRejekt remix’s of Gamal Kabar’s “Bucca” & Mistress De Funk’s “Fear Of God”.



He has taken his message of global rejection out across the planet, touring everywhere from South America, Europe, United Statesand Asia.  Fresh back from a June tour of Japanand Taiwan, his thoughts are now turning to a white isle in the Balearics, as Iain relocates to Ibiza and bases his operations right amongst the best parties - and party people - on the planet.

 

Iain is playing every Wednesday for The Zoo Project’s leftfield midweek promotion Channel Zoo and every third 3rd Saturday for their flagship Saturday Zoo Project Party; every Saturday after the Zoo closes will be his own Rejekt party at Savannah and he’s also playing for We Love & Carl Cox at Space and Superfreq at Boho, as well as other villa parties and underground shenanigans besuiting someone from the leftfield of club culture. On a much smaller and more intimate tip - after playing an impromptu set a couple of Sundays ago for Charlie Chester & Jo Mills at their new Sundaytime affair at Sands in Playa Den Bossa, Ibiza’s legendary couple were so impressed with Iain’s choice balearic & funk soul selection that they have asked him to come back every Sunday that he is on the island.  Now there’s a compliment!
