COMPOSIT MUSIC ANNOUNCE 2ND SHOW SATURDAY 8TH MARCH 2014
LAIDBACK LUKE / EDDIE HALLIWELL /
BENNY BENASSI / FEDDE LE GRAND
KRYDER / D.O.D
VICTORIA WAREHOUSE, MANCHESTER
After Cutting-edge promoters Composit Music tore into Manchester
clubbing scene after selling out two consecutive shows with the
world's #1 DJ Hardwell, they have just announced another stella line
up at Manchester's Victoria Warehouse on Saturday 8th March with
Laidback Luke, Eddie Halliwell, Fedde Le Grand, Benny Benassi, Kryder
& D,O,D.
Dutch dynamo Laidback Luke will be spear heading the night at the
Victoria Warehouse in Manchester. As the innovator in dance music,
Holland's Laidback Luke blasts a blitz of energy, driving his avid
fans around the world into a raving frenzy! 100% immersed in his fans,
the Super You & Me hero continually breaks the mold, shaking up
chaotic beats to favor electro, techno and bass heads globally.
Locking and loading events with hugest lineups and the most powerful
beats, the electronic idol is saving the world from mediocre music and
transforming dance floors into havens of high quality merriment!
Next up we welcome local lad Eddie Halliwell to join the party.
Hailing from Wigan, near Manchester, Eddie Halliwell has been
electrifying dancefloors all over the world for the last decade. He is
now one of the most loved and respected headline DJs on the scene.
Recently nominating him in their "Greatest DJ Of All Time" poll,
Mixmag said of Eddie "There are people who play records and there are
DJs who blow minds - Eddie Halliwell is the latter". Meanwhile DJ
Magazine informed their readers that - "Eddie Halliwell is a legend, a
hero and a massively popular DJ..." And we can't wait to welcome him to
Composit Music's 2nd event at the Victoria Warehouse, Manchester.
Composit Music are pleased to announce Benny Benassi will also be
joining the line up at Manchester's Victoria Warehouse. The
fashionable, fun, and sometimes freaky sound of Milan-born DJ/producer
Benny Benassi first hit the charts under that name in 2002 with the
electro-meets-house single "Satisfaction." Created in collaboration
with his cousin Alle -- in a team that would become known as the
Benassi Bros. -- it was praised by high-profile DJs such as Carl Cox,
Darren Emerson, and Roger Sanchez. Although "Satisfaction" charted
internationally, it wasn't the first time that Benassi had tasted
success. In 2001, under the name KMC, he had worked with vocalist
Dhany on the infectious "I Feel So Fine," which initially stormed the
Italian charts before it hit the number one spot in the U.K. By
September 2003, the campy and quirky Hypnotica was issued as Benassi's
solo debut album in collaboration with the Biz, a vocal team that
featured Paul French and Violeta. A year later, Pumphonia marked the
first full-length release under the Benassi Bros. name, and by the end
of 2004 he had won the European Borders Breakers Award for Hypnotica,
when it racked up the most sales that year for an Italian album
outside of Italy.
Kryder will be opening up for the show on the 8th March 2014 at the
Victoria Warehouse. Imagine we're in a dark nightclub. The DJ cues his
own track, hits play, the beat kicks in and hands immediately go up in
the air, seized by its irresistible groove. The next DJ - Judge Jules,
setting up for his own set - sees the damage done and asks what the
track is. The DJ passes it to him and Jules proceeds to put it
straight back into the C-DJ and hit play... and then once more, to end
his set. Jules then plays it on his Radio 1 show six weeks in a row,
making it his "Tried and Tested" and saying on air that it"s "the best
example I've heard of really getting the balance right: great chords,
huge atmosphere and groovy undertone." The track"s secretive producer
is known only by the name written in indelible ink on the CD- R -
Kryder - and the track is K2. Punters across the nation start
clamouring to know who Kryder is. Debates surface on blogs and dance
forums. Labels, managers, punters join the hunt to track him
down....The person who successfully caught up with Kryder - perhaps
not surprisingly considering his profile - was none other than Tiesto.
K2 was successfully promo"d during the Miami Winter Music Conference,
receiving massive support from the likes of Swedish House Mafia, as
one of the key WMC tracks. Pete Tong played the track on his Miami
Radio 1 show. That meant - in the same week - K2 had been signed by
the world"s biggest DJ, and then played on the year"s key Radio 1
show. Quickly ascending to 12 in the Buzz Chart, DMC said of the
track: "this club monster is so banging it hurts" with Mixmag (giving
the track 5/5) adding of this "epic Miami monster anthem" that they
"expect it to stick around throughout the Ibiza season".
If this wasn't already enough to get Dance music fans mouth's
watering, Composit Music have announced another addition to the line
up in the form of chart topping DJ & Producer Fedde Le Grand to join
the line up on Saturday 8th March at the Victoria Warehouse,
Manchester.
Back in 2006, it was the seminal electro track 'Put Your Hands Up For
Detroit' that not only brought Le Grand to global attention, but
breathed fresh life into a stagnant house scene. Dubbed by many as the
"Saviour of House", it soon became evident that the Dutchman was no
one-trick pony. Amongst others, tracks like 'Let Me Think About It',
'Control Room', 'Sparks', his remixes of Coldplay's 'Paradise' and
EBTG's 'Missing', 'The Creeps', 'So Much Love', 'Metrum', 'Autosave',
'Back & Forth', 'RAW' and lastly his amazing remix for Nikki Williams'
'Glowing' have established him as one of the most exciting and
consistent talents around, demonstrating his effortless ability to
move seamlessly between huge mainstream success and edgier,
underground sounds.
Yet through all the success - the international chart-topping heights
and global DJ fame - Fedde's focus is simply fixed on making and
playing great tracks. His dedication to music and his unwavering
passion for the dancefloor continue to make him an intrinsic and
dominant part of the ever-evolving electronic scene. A touchstone, an
inspiration and a pioneer; he is definitive, he is essential, he is
house music at its finest. He is Fedde Le Grand.
Finishing up our next event at the Victoria Warehouse with one of the
hottest up and coming acts on the scene. D.O.D. Punching well above
his years, D.O.D is standing on the edge of becoming an international
sensation within club circles. Already finding plaudits among Annie
Mac, Kissy Sell-Out and Laurent Garnier, this fresh faced beats
stalwart has also managed to secure himself a residency with Mixmag
for their club and Ibiza tours; not bad for a kid who's barely out of
his teens.
"D.O.D is one of the most talented young DJ's and Producers we've
discovered this Century, expect big things" Nick Stevenson, Associate
Editor, Mixmaf
"One of the best djs I've seen all year" Kissy Sell Out, BBC Radio 1
Having worked his way up the ladder over the past couple of years,
D.O.D's success can be attested to the old fashioned approach of
'making it' through promoting his own events alongside learning his
craft on the road at various events up and down the country.
Set in one of the UK's most renowned venues, the Victoria Warehouse in
Manchester, this is an event not to be missed and after selling out
their previous two shows in record timing, please purchase tickets in
advance to avoid disappointment.
