Electric Summer to transform Battersea Power Station into free riverside attraction

A brand-new summer attraction is heading to London later this month, with Battersea Power Station set to host five weeks of rides, skating, street food and live entertainment.

Running from Wednesday 29th July until Monday 31st August, Electric Summer will turn Power Station Park into a free-to-enter destination featuring a roller rink, giant wheel, dodgems, wave swinger, boardwalk games and pétanque courts overlooking the River Thames.

The roller rink will host sessions for all ages and abilities, including children's skating classes, adult skate lessons and roller fitness sessions, while Saturday evenings will see silent discos soundtracked by DJs from KISS, including Justin Wilkes, Esi, Jake Thomson and AJ King.

Elsewhere, visitors can enjoy panoramic views from the big wheel, challenge friends to pétanque on the Coaling Jetty, or explore a range of fairground attractions and classic boardwalk games.

A selection of independent food traders will also be on site throughout the opening week, serving everything from gourmet sandwiches and Middle Eastern-inspired dishes to barbecue favourites, artisan sandwiches, gelato and sweet treats. The fully licensed Boardwalk Bar, complete with a rooftop terrace, will provide a spot for drinks overlooking the riverside throughout the event.

While entry to Electric Summer is free, tickets for selected attractions, including the roller rink, pétanque and big wheel, can be booked in advance. The attraction will be open daily from 10 am to 10 pm, with the Coaling Jetty opening from midday.
