Egg's latest venture Uncut is back, a brand new club night dedicated to deliver unparalleled line ups to the Capitals rave enthusiasts, and this particular bill brings a squad of techno titans to the North London hotspot on September 27th.
Kompakt is a label that maintains its stance as one of techno's fundamental labels, so it was only right that label co-runners Michael Mayer lead the Uncut reigns.
The Cologne figurehead is responsible for distributing the finest of minimal techno from his early days working at record store Delirium - the birthplace of Kompakt. Everything from his Total Confusion parties through to the heralded Immer mix have helped usher in a new dawn for techno and house music. You'll catch Mayer in a club setting laying down trademark 4/4 beats with an old school electro ambience threaded together to gain maximum dance floor impact.
He will be joined by Tronic lynchpin Christian Smith. Since the early days Smith has honed a funky techno output beyond the confines of stripped back minimal beats that has seen monstrous labels like Drumcode, Bedrock and Renaissance come calling.
His cutting edge production puts him at the centre of the Underground universe (below), whilst his sets incorporate raw energy that transpires into relentless mind-blowing performances.
Strengthening Kompakt's presence is Terranova, the duo behind the 13 full track album, Hotel Armour that was released on the giant imprint. They carry a cleansing minimal beat infused with crystallised melodies and feel good vocals to achieve the hedonistic charm that is fundamental to a good old fashioned rave up. Grab your tickets here.
