Welcome to the S.O.M.Y. festival 2022.
As you know, originally, we were meant to be in a field just off the A1, but with so many concerns about the weather, the festival got moved indoors to EGG in London. Without putting any spin on this, we really think that, for this time around, it’s worked in our and your favour.
For the day part, Peach will host The Garden, Shhh… the Middle floor and Club UK, The Loft.
We are delivering EXACTLY the same line that we promised initially!
In the Peach room, we have the MIGHTY John ‘00’ Fleming headlining-AND PLAYING A SUPER EXCLUSIVE CLASSICS SET! It’s who the Peach faithful have been asking for since we started the reunions some 8 years ago. John just does NOT play these kinds of sets, so to get one at all is like a miracle, to get one in London is more of a miracle than rising on the third day-it’s Easter weekend remember, I am trying to work with that so help me out here! Add the looney element- we are talking Peasy & Blocko-still nutbags after all these years, and our incredible residents of The Freestylers-I am wondering if you actually realise how huge these guys are in the breaks world! Remember how they not just smashed it, but annihilated both Steelyard and Electric in 2021. Add Graham, Chris, Pique Edele and Mark into the mix and you just know this is gonna be one hell of a day.
Exclusive house brand Shhh…, the newest addition to clubbing in the South East have a solid reputation for delivery the highest level events and lineups. This event is no exception and for the daytime part, total legends of UK clubbing, SLIPMATT and Jeremy Healy headline alongside their main residents, the dynamic duo of Clarke & East (these guys are amazing and their energy level just blows the roofs off.) Then add Carly Wilford, Duballdee, Tina Maria, Jodi, Paks & Johnny G and Tony Kendall and you get the full Shhh… experience!
In the Club UK Arena, for the first time ever, in the daytime, you will get the best of both the Friday and Saturday nights ON THE SAME DAY! It’s also the first time that Friday nights techno legends Mr. C, Dave Angel, Colin Dale and Trevor Rockcliffe play on the same line up! And from the infamous Saturday night of the South London club, main residents Steve Harvey and Miss Tyson will provide the housier elements along with Jump’s Paul Kelly.
Finally, we are able to announce the nighttime part of our S.O.M.Y. festival at Egg London where we will take over the massive ground floor Garden Room, their biggest room at the venue, from 10pm till 5am- It’s the icing on the cake as originally we were stopping at 11pm!!!!
For S.O.M.Y. Into The Night, all 3 brands are represented- as we have given you all the classics in the day time, we wanted the night time part to be totally different, but in a way, the same. Our families together under one roof enjoying amazing music and partying as if it was actually still 1999!
So we have brought in some of the big current players across the house and trance scenes. This new night time addition to S.O.M.Y. has meant we can go back in time and Peach can do what it did so famously 20+ years ago. We can bring you NEW TALENT! And NEW MUSIC!! If Peach and Club UK had continued to be weekly in 2022, this is how they would have rolled. Bringing you the next generation of superstars. Peach has always started housey, it’s part of our DNA, Shhh… already is very much a ‘current house’ brand, bang on the money bringing new talent to their parties, so this concept is just perfect. Let’s turn the clock back almost 20 years and then some. Aly & Fila, Abel Ramos, Mat Darey and Ben Gold. I mention these cos they were almost unknown in London when they first played Peach-Peach gave them to you first, and over the years there were many many more DJ’s who Peach gave their first exposure too at a ‘proper rave’, as well as those you know already, Tiesto, Ferry & Armin. The point is, Peach never relied on the BIGGEST NAMES on the planet to give you the best night of your life every Friday. Just the BEST DJ’s that could deliver you the ultimate Friday night!!!
We are thrilled to announce this MONSTER line up and it’s with great pride that we can announce that Marco Loco will open the Garden Room at 10pm. Ibiza Legend and Space Resident for 11 years, Marco will bring his expertise to the dance floor. It’s the first time Marco has played for us, and he is, as we are, very excited. Marco has been doing his thing for over 20 years..and it’s a big thing too! 11 years as Space Ibiza resident, alongside many others on the White Isle including Cafe del Mar and in 2013 he won Ibiza’s best Resident- a very high accolade indeed!!! But we all have to move on and after Space closed, he found himself heading to the other ‘Ibiza’ in South East Asia-to the island of Koh Phangan. He immediately landed the role of musical Director of Jungle Experience- the islands biggest party after The Full Moon party, which attracts up to 8000 people in high season. Of course, he brought his Ibiza vibe to the island where his Ibiza Grooves brand very quickly found huge popularity. Marco is a music head, whether DJ’ing or producing- so you will always get great music, great crowd interaction and of course that BIG smile that everyone loves Marco for.
Following Marco will be one of the hardest working dj’s on the planet right now- Chelsea Singh. Chelsea pursued his love of dance music by becoming one of the most well-known DJs on the Canary Islands at the start of the 2000s. His passion for house music in all its forms, has been a constant source of inspiration in every field he has entered. Although he’s featured in some of British TV’s most well-known shows, Channel 4’s Posh Pawn, How Did You Get So Rich and Channel 5’s Big Brother, house music dominated his life. 30 releases in 2021 and 52 scheduled for 2022. ‘Sweet Harmony’ made it to No. 5 in the house music charts, with The Power’ getting to No. 3 in the Beatport charts, while his other productions ensure he’s been in the top 20 pretty much every week. He will be a great addition to the S.O.M.Y. Festival.
After Chelsea we welcome with open arms, Sam Supplier. Sam is sooo now, his sets exhume energy, he is gonna be amazing! There is no doubt that Sam Supplier is one of THE hottest DJ/producers to come out of London in recent years! His busy schedule takes him regularly to all 4 corners of the globe-and it’s all come about because of his dedication and hard work in the studio with tracks signed to Fisher’s Catch & Release, Sony, Columbia and CR2. His current biggie, ‘Drug User’ is tearing it up everywhere. When playing live, there can be no mistaking it’s Sam Supplier on the decks when you feel his energy and charisma, and for Sam, it’s all about new music- pushing the scene forward. His love of house music is so ingrained in his soul, that twice now, he has been DJ’ing on trucks and closing down Central London in some of the biggest marches ever held in the UK as part of SAVEOURSCENEUK. And then there’s his regular shows on London’s Rinse FM, so needless to say we welcome Sam to the S.O.M.Y. team!
As we are building the night musically, Graham Gold is gonna finally get the chance to play you his 2022 sound in a main room-BIG MELODIC HOUSE & PROGRESSVE TECHNO.
This will lead perfectly into Metta & Glyde! These guys are a pretty brand new UK trance act, but with releases already on Aly & Fila’s F.S.O.E., Black Hole, Alter Ego, Tidy and many more, collaborations with Ronski Speed and Sean Tyas, remixes for Talla 2XLC and now proud owners of their own 140 Music record label- they are without doubt THE ONES TO WATCH. They tear up everywhere they play and we know that their sound is so perfect for Peach- whether for our older or newer ravers.
Just one week before he makes his S.O.M.Y debut, (2 weeks after, he plays in L.A.) you would have caught Davey Asprey on fire on the SAME LINE UP as John O’Callaghan, Misja Helsoot, Sean Tyas, Richard Durrand, Daniel Wanrooy at Grotesque Festival in Rotterdam. He already boasts almost 50,000 followers on Facebook and 20,000 on Instagram, Armin caned his remix of Suckley & Yates’s re working of ‘Let Me be Your Fantasy’, his own ‘Desperado’ on John O’Callaghan’s Subculture label and signed his D.A.D.A. track to Who’s afraid of 138. It’s not just Armin either who have witnessed Daveys immense potential, his tracks have received major support from PVD, Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, Markus Shultz and many many more. Davey Asp-ery is already a next level player-and we welcome him to the S.O.M.Y. family with wide open arms.
Closing this edition of S.O.M.Y. will be Anthony Thomas who in just 12 months has warmed himself famously to the Peach family. His home set up features 1210 turntables as he is a vinyl junkie and LOVES mixing vinyl, plus DENON CDJ’S – see you aren’t the only one John 00 Fleming! He is basically a walking musical nerd-and proud of it-catch him closing the night with some top techno!! So a bit like how Dave lambert used to close Peach with his harder house!!.
Day pass is £30, Night pass £25 and Joint pass is £45.
