With recent appearances from the fantastic HIM_SELF_HER and Sascha Dive, Dusted’s history of getting the most exciting artists to play for them at the Joshua Brooks venue in Manchester has been reliably impressive. The 18th of May will see them continuing pretty much where they left off.
None other than Shamen frontman Mr C will be gracing decks bringing with him his Superfreq show combined with his hotly anticipated album launch. “Smell The Coffee” will be launched at Dusted, and with that comes one hell of a shindig.
Mr C came to the forefront of house music in Britain back in 1987, and has continued to be a driving force in the scene ever since.
His tireless experimentation and unequalled sophistication used to combine the forward thinking sounds of the underground, and thrust them into the consciousness of the mainstream has garnered him with plaudits worldwide.
Following on from resounding successes through his involvement in notably The Shamen, Somnambulist (with Paul RIP), Mantrac, Animus Amor (with JY), and Killer Loop (with Layo), Mr C’s exploits behind the decks have continued to draw in the crowds, as he moves ever forward with his unbending approach to dance music.
Mr.C has always been streets ahead when it comes to spinning cutting edge dance music & as he settle into a more club friendly version of his trippy electronic sound, it seems the rest of us are finally catching up.
Performing along with Mr C will be Manchester based Pete Smith, Dusted main man, and cracking DJ to boot.
Dusted have once again secured a fantastic lineup for this May's edition.
Tickets are on sale with Skiddle.
