Voted the no.1 female DJ in the world - the undisputed queen of the jungle from the early 90s - DJ RAP - returns to Manchester from the USA for one night only, after almost 20 years. Support on the night includes Unity Radio presenters and Sub-Woofah head honchos Euphonique & S Man, the label's golden boy Epicentre, Grand Theft Audio's Echidna and MC Logic of G13 and Spynal Records.

"We are happy to be back, after a few months concentrating on the label the response has been great! We've had lots of enquiries about when our events would be back so we knew we had to plan something pretty special to return on; hosting Rap's only Northern leg of her UK tour seemed just the thing!" Says Sub-Woofah's Euphonique.

Currently residing in the US, DJ Rap was voted the no.1 female DJ in the world by Shejay over a ten year period, she returns to Manchester for one night only after almost 20 years, which has caught interest of music fans and industry heads alike! Owner of Proper Talent records (opened in 1994) and spin off Improper Talent; Rap is a pioneer for females in the scene, running the two labels whilst also building on her career as a producer, recording artist, and actress. She is much respected on the Drum & Bass scene as a DJ and producer, performing at some of the best oldskool rave and drum and bass nights throughout the 90s, including Helter Skelter, Fantazia, Dreamscape and many more and working on productions such as Spiritual Aura, Intelligent Woman, Ruffest Gunark with Top Cat and a number of big anthems on Suburban Bass.

Shortly after the opening of Proper Talent in 1995, Rap received attention from Sony and was soon signed to them along with the likes of Grooverider and Leftfield. On the release of 'Learning Curve', Rolling Stone Magazine gave her three and a half stars, stating 'this is the record Madonna wanted to make'. 'Learning Curve' went on to sell over 1,000,000 units bringing her total sales to over 3,000,000 worldwide; which includes her compilation sales from releases such as Journeys, Propa Classics Vol. 1 & 2, Brave New World, Armani Exchange & Touching Bass, Bulletproof, Up All Night, which have all crossed many genres and has become DJ Rap's trademark.

2014 has seen the re-release of her classic anthem Spiritual Aura packaged with brand new remixes from Saxxon, Bladerunner, Silent Code & Basher!
