Manchester-born DJ Paulette never shies away from her roots, and she is enforcing that with her new music programme. Taking place in Manchester, this new school's initiative will be a two-month programme that aims to introduce students to opportunities in design, production, engineering and more.

DJ Paulette introduced the programme with a performance for pupils at Stretford High, in Trafford. Which was followed by a talk where DJ Paulette spoke with attendees, answered questions and offered advice on possible entry routes into music.

The initiative falls ahead of The BRIT Awards, which will be held in Manchester for the first time this year and hosted at Co-op Live. As part of Manchester Legends, Mastercard celebrates Manchester’s iconic musical legacy, with Manchester Legends focusing on spotlighting a breadth of jobs within the music industry. Mastercard has sponsored the ceremony for the past 28 years and has said this latest community programme will build on the success of 2025's UK-wide Mic Drops schools scheme

DJ Paulette spoke about the programme, saying, "Manchester has always been such an important city for music, and being part of these sessions with Mastercard has been really special. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to differentiate between the nos, not all of them actually mean no."
