Comedy Club coming to town

Welshpool is set to welcome its first Comedy Club, with the Royal Oak hosting its debut next week.

Following the overwhelming success of its weekly Oak Live nights, which introduces the areas top musicians to an intimate audience every Friday night, the venue is venturing into comedy.

The inaugural Comedy Club will be held on September 1 and include sets from Steve Day and Will Marsh and will be hosted by Mike McClean as seen on BBC, ITV, C4, C5 and Sky 1. Doors open at 7:30pm and show starts at 9pm. Tickets are £10 or £15 to include a meal and are available from the hotel.
Meanwhile, the live entertainment takes a twist in September with a Take That and Robbie Williams Tribute night.
Simply Take That are one of the leading Take That tribute acts in the country and also include a Robbie Williams set. They will be in the Oak on September 8. Doors open at 8pm and the show will start at 9pm.
Tickets are £7. There will be a raised stage and lighting rig to ensure your viewing pleasure.
