Circus London Birthday w/ Kölsch, Catz 'N Dogz, Yousef, Kydus

After two successful years at their London home, Egg, Circus are throwing a birthday party of epic proportions with a line up featuring Kölsch, Catz 'N Dogz, Kydus and the mastermind behind it all, Yousef on Saturday 20th September. 

Circus has been a prominent part of Liverpool nightlife since its inception over a decade ago. A focus on quality house and techno and the ability to bring the people of the city together secured Circus as a go-to for real music lovers. This ethos still stands strong today, and the Circus family continues to grow.

With the expansion, they decided to set up camp down south, and Egg began to house some of the infamous Circus parties. This September they are set to celebrate the two fruitful years that they have spent in London. 

Providing the tunes for the bash is Kölsch. After releasing the 1977 album, Kölsch's success reached new levels, the powerful, emotive tracks (check out 'Der Alte' above) induced spine-tingling moments irregardless of where they were played. His productions sit between dancefloor killers and melodic grooves, all boasting his distinctive sound. 

Joining him are Polish duo Catz 'N Dogz. The pair have developed their own individual style, incorporating bass, disco and deep house with their already existent techno roots. With bass-driven music sitting at the forefront of their sets, it wasn't long before Catz 'N Dogz caught the attention of dirtybird boss Claude VonStroke. The natural progression following a string of successful releases was to launch their own label, and so Pets Recordings was born.

Also playing the birthday event is Circus Recordings signed Kydus, and of course, the man responsible for the club night, Yousef. Yousef's ability to control the Circus crowds is mind-blowing, and to see him perform in an environment he has built himself is one of the most spectacular experiences.
