Founded in 2018, Awesome Soundwave has been run by Carl Cox and Christopher Coe for the past 8 years, dedicated to championing artists who create and perform electronic music live. However, the label is now entering a new chapter with the launch of the event series ASW Live, which also has a forthcoming release schedule.
Built around Awesome Soundwave releases music from artists who use improvisation, experimentation and technology as central parts of their creative process. Rather than focusing on one specific genre, the label focuses on artists pushing the boundaries of live electronic music.

And now the method is being put into practice as ASW Live is set to bring together Awesome Soundwave artists and local artists in venues selected for immersive underground electronic music experiences.
Set to launch in Ireland and Northern Ireland with two events featuring live performances from Phil Kieran and Christopher Coe. The first event will take place on Friday 28th August at Pawn Shop in Dublin, followed by Belfast on Saturday 29th August at The Ulster Sports Club.
Talking about the label and the launch, Coe shared, "There seems to be more interest than ever in live shows and the excitement of live presentation. We felt it was time to return to the smaller venue experience, where we can genuinely connect with audiences and showcase more local live artists. With ASW Live, we want to create that underground feeling again, where anything can happen, and the music can be wild and free. We really do love playing live."
Further ASW Live events are planned in locations around the world, continuing the series’ focus on live electronic performance. For more information on ASW Live and Awsome Soudnwave, check out their Instagram here.
