Back in November after Dickie Divers had another successful title defense against BMW member and Founder Scott Renwick, we saw Glen Dunbar run to the ring with his 24/7 Money in the Bank briefcase ready to cash in, but the challenger surprised us all when he announced that he didnt plan on cashing in that night but on Divers one year anniversary as champion.

Having been crowned the first Pride Champion in March 2012, Divers has been the icon of the division, not only taking on all challengers but going on the hunt for new opportunities to test himself including interjecting himself into a triple threat for his first defense in Ardrossan! Hes not only became a very successful young man throughout his time as champion, but crafted the division with pride, dignity and honour. His daredevil style, unmatched tenacity and ability to take his opponents to the mat as well as fly through the air makes him a very hard man to beat.

Despite Dunbar being just as skilled and well rounded and recently being dubbed Scotlands hidden gem after a tremendous match with Johnny Kidd in SWA, his attitude and approach is the polar opposite of Divers; hes a cunning, devious and manipulative opportunist who cares more about the win than an honorable sporting contest.

With Dunbars questionable tactics now aided by his new BMW allies, Divers is up against the odds but while hes fought uphill battles and came out smiling before, he knows this time the challenge ahead is more personal and bitter than ever before. Preparing himself for the upcoming bout, the champion is opening new year with a challenge; everyone in the Pride roster is invited to take on the champion as we open the year in Whiteinch in 2013 as he prepares himself for the big challenge on March 16th.

With the invite open to all, its first come, first served so who will answer the call?

The event takes place on Saturday February 2nd 2013 at the Whiteinch Community Centre. Doors open at 2:30pm with the first match scheduled for 3pm. Entry to the event costs just £10 Adult, £8 child/concession and £25 for a family of four saver ticket! Tickets will be available upon entry on the night but are also available in advance online
