Manchester’s newest brunch spot is opening this weekend. Located in Castlefield next to Barça Bar on the district’s Catalan Square, Layla’s opens its doors at 10am on Saturday 4th April, and styles itself as the city’s first “coffee rave spot”.
The bar’s opening day on the bank holiday weekend will be commemorated by 100 free matchas being given away from 8am on Saturday on a first come, first serve basis; DJ Krioso will then host Castlefield’s inaugural coffee rave complete with latte and matcha shots. Lebanese-inspired brunch will be served from 12pm on Saturday and all day Sunday. An additional competition giving away thirty days of free matcha will be announced on the bar’s social media on Monday 6th April.
