A legend in his own lifetime, and having last appeared at Belladrum in 2006, Californian bluesman Seasick Steve will be bringing his unique style, and his unique instruments no doubt to the party. Seasick Steve is a festival favourite with plenty of crowd participation to be expected, much of it centred around his homemade guitars!
Indie rockers Pigeon Detectives have also been confirmed and Celtic artist Julie Fowlis will be making her first appearance at the event. Bella has also confirmed singer-songwriter Andy Burrows, former member of Razorlight; Leeds dub band Gentleman’s Dub Club; Scots indie artists Meursault, Washington Irving, PAWS and The Lafontaines; and emerging singer-songwriters Tich and Nick Mulvey.
Seasick Steve joins amongst others, headliners Manchester indie legends James and Glasgow rock prodigies Twin Atlantic on the Highland festival’s lineup along with other acts such as The Straits (including former members of Dire Straits); British band Noisettes; stellar garage rockers The Horrors; King Charles and Scots indie artists Admiral Fallow, plus Rumours of Fleetwood Mac and Celtic rockers Peatbog Faeries who played the first Belladrum Festival way back in 2004.
If the lineup announcement wasn’t enough, Saturday day tickets go on sale this morning (Friday 26th April) and will be available on Skiddle’s Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival page.
