The Barbican have announced ‘anyone can dance’, a new series of late-night parties centered on dance and diaspora. The series will transform the Barbican Level –1 foyer space into an intimate dancefloor open until 3am.
UK collective Eastern Margins, who celebrate alternative Asian culture, kick off the series on Friday 20th February 2026, with Nick Cheo, KOLLIN, Jianbo, and MEYY playing the event. Founded in 2018, Eastern Margins recently hosted their Margins United festival at Archives in Tottenham Hale, while the Barbican themselves have previously hosted late-night parties, one hosted by famed former pirate radio station Rinse FM and the second by underground club favourites Club Stamina. The Barbican also unveiled their Spring 2026 programme recently, featuring contemporary Colombian art, an Icelandic concert series, and an Iranian cinema retrospective.
‘anyone can dance’ have five events planned for 2026, with more to come.
