Playing a major part in Manchester night life, Band On The Wall continues to blend a myriad of genres with a twist of party spirit to curate a delicious programme of events. April is no different.
Looking at the front end of the month, On Yer Mic, a night celebrating words and performance sparks off the bank holiday. Happening on the Thursday 2nd, BBC slam champion and beat boxer Ben Mellor leads a billing that also features Batz Inda Belfry and Cave Man.
Next up is an man who's virtually made the venue his own with his revered monthly residency. Stockport selector Mr Scruff serves up his melting pot of sounds on Saturday 4th April, stretching his turntable trickery and eccentric sounds (demonstrated below) over a massive five and half hours.
Any Dark Night provides a platform for the cities many flourishing acts on Friday 10th, before passing the baton to dub pioneers Zion Train on the 11th.
Shining a light on the remainder of the month, Chicago eight piece Hypnotic Brass Ensemble check in on Tuesday 14th. They'll showcase their avant garde, jazz musings, with extra zest from their rap and hip hop influences to tie up another sterling month for the venue.
