Billed as Sound on the Ground, the 2-day music extravaganza opens with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra in a 'Last Night of the Proms' style concert performing iconic soundtracks and memorable Music from the Movies with film snippetsfeatured on two big screens. Presented by Pete Waterman of the SAW Hit Factory and Britain?s Got Talent fame will introduce live on stage BGT?s winners Collabro together with the ?Classical Crossover? & ?Synth-Pop? string quartet girl band, Bond.
Following the sophistication of Saturday?s concert, the iconic sound of the 90?s Manchester music scene is replicated by the Hacienda Classical featuring Graeme Park alongside the Manchester Camerata together with Inner City, Jocelyn Brown, Peter Hook, Crystal Waters, K Klass, Black Box and DJ Tom Wainwright. Plus a few surprise visitors adding to an authentic mix of great hits and sounds of those great Madchester days.
