BBC Radio 1Xtra will host a series of events at HOME in Manchester later this month, each giving valuable lessons to those looking to break into all areas of the media.

With theatres, cinemas, art spaces and more, the creative space is a stunning part of the city's artistic fabric and will welcome the BBC on Sunday 29th October, with five sessions taking place across the day.

1Xtra tastemaker Jamz Supernova will host two of the sessions, one of which sees the DJ bring her DIY Generation feature to a present audience, and will help young entrepreneurs understand the skills required to create a creative, DIY business. Jazz will also host a females only Women In Media session, while a duo of radio focused sessions will help blossoming DJs break into radio, with 1Xtra's Ace giving a lesson in getting behind the mic and presenting like a pro.

There will also be a session tackling social media, with social media expert Ayaz Hussain giving on advice on growing your global profile and how to heighten your impact online.
