Artento Divini is the energetic, creative dutch powerhouse behind tracks such as ADHD, Hammer and Wicked. As a DJ, he has played at some of the biggest and best dance events in the world, including Trance Energy, Pleasure Island, Sunrise Festival and Luminosity.

His tracks have been supported by the biggest names in the business including Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Marco V and Sander van Doorn, and his weekly Front of my Bag (F.O.M.B.) podcast is eagerly listened to by his thousands of fans. He will be headlining the BangMessy room at Trance Sanctuary’s Summer party at Egg nightclub in London on Saturday 13th July.

First and foremost, we’re very excited to have you on board! Your sets at the Luminosity beach parties have created a massive buzz amongst the Trance Sanctuary regulars lucky enough to experience them. I remember when you came on for the last set on Saturday Luminosity 2012 - it left an indelible impression on me as the crowd were completely electrified! What can we expect from your Trance Sanctuary set?

Hahahaha, first of all thanks for having me over to Trance Sanctuary! It's the first for me in London and to be honest I'm already excited. What you can expect hmmmmm….a lot of energy, fun and a big smile :D

Listen: Artento Divini's F.O.M.B Podcast

How does your approach to creating a live set differ from putting together your F.O.M.B. podcast?

The difference between my live sets and my podcast is that I read the crowd and they tell me what I've to play, I really love those bouncing beats with some trance influence as long it makes you dance and me of course. In my F.O.M.B show I love to play more crossover and if I like a track but it doesn't fit into my sets I'll give them my support in my show.
It's an interactive show where the listeners can tell me which track they wanna hear for example the openings tune is a request via twitter, they can vote for the tune of week for the week after and when a dj / producer made their own mashup they can send it to me and if I like it it will be the mashup of the show.

A hallmark of your live performances is your incredible energy and enthusiasm behind the decks, where does it all come from?

Hahahaha I don't know maybe my ADHD in combination with redbull and my passion for music makes a great party together with the crowd in front of me.

Your sound definitely spans multiple genres and influences, where do you get your inspiration from?

From everywhere, RnB to rock or from house, trance and techno tracks, for me there is one rule - when a track is good and I love it i'll play it sure. It doesn't matter which genre it is, I'm always out of the box and that makes me who I am. I know that is difficult for promoters they don't know exactly what I play or are confused in what I'm doing but when they see me on stage then they will understand!

How is 2013 shaping up for you?

Slowly but good I hope that one of my tracks or remixes will be a bomb so we can make the next step :)

What has been the greatest highlight of your DJ career to date?

I think the massive Black & Blue festival in Montreal and Trance Energy here in Holland

Which DJ would you most like to go back to back with?

Melvin Warning of course! We picked our project Divini & Warning again and both are very energetic behind the deck so you got twice the energy haha

You have collaborated with some major trance producers, including Jochen Miller, Maarten de Jong and Cosmic Gate. What has been your highlight when working with others?

The first Divini & Warning - 4LB that was our first track that we ever produced and it till now still the biggest

Listen: Cosmic Gate - Storm Chaser (Artento Divini Remix)

How did your remix with Cosmic Gate on their latest track Storm Chaser come about?

I met the boys of Cosmic Gate a few times and they told me that they play my track "Wicked" a lot in the US, and that it always went off. They asked to make a "Wicked" kind of "Storm Chaser remix" so I did :)

What can we expect from you on the production front in the coming year?

Just finished a remix of a classic tune of Svenson & Gielen, a remix for Marco V and of course new Artento Divini and Divini & Warning tracks

Where did the name for your podcast come from - it’s quite unusual?!

Yes I know hahaha, it comes from the times past when we played vinyl, most dj's would put their best track in…. the front of their bag.

Also, I don't want to use a genre in the name. I thought about changing it but when I play in east Europe and they start screaming "Artento we love FOMB" it gives me a big smile.

What are your top 3 tracks at the moment?

01. Marco V - Hypegenic, Supersonic, Futuristic, Monophonic
02. Rick Mitchels - Jinxed
03. Artento Divini - Hey!

This will be your first time playing in London - what are you most looking forward to?

To the amazing crowd and party I heard so many good things about it

Finally, any last words to the Trance Sanctuary crowd?

Hahaha! Are you ready to be divinized!?
