Earlier this week, the music world was shook with the news that legendary DJ and producer Andrew Weatherall had died.

The 56-year-old, Berkshire-born pioneer, known affectionately as The Guv'nor or The Chairman, passed away in London in the early hours of Monday 17th February following a pulmonary embolism.

Known for his remarkable work on Primal Scream's seminal album, Screamadelica, and for his influence on the acid house movement, the former furniture removal man was celebrated as one of the finest remixers in the business, working over tracks from the likes of Happy Mondays, New Order, BjorkSaint Etienne and My Bloody Valentine, and under a multitude of monikers: Sabres of Paradise, Two Lone Swordsman, Bocca Juniors...

In tribute to the great man, below we've highlighted some of Weatherall's finest remixes, from his celebrated reworking of My Bloody Valentine's 'Soon' (lauded by NME as 'one of the greatest remixes of all time') to his remix of 'Into A Swan' by Siouxsie.
