The ball drop in New York?s Times Square is amongst the most iconic NYE countdowns. A romantic city, blanketed in snow, bringing the New Year in with a party you won?t forget, what more could you want? Well we can?t all be splashing the cash so instead, Big Apple Brixton have brought all that to you. Set atop a roof in the heart of Brixton, given it doesn?t rain, you may even forget you?re in London.

With a 1970s theme, you?ll be transported to a historic time in New York ? a time where a collapsing economy gave way to budding artists and hip hop acts to inject some vim and vigour into the city ? think Studio 54 and Harlem Apollo. In spirit of this, the NYE party at Big Apple Brixton will see hip hop hype man Fatman Scoop on the stage, while London drag queen collective Little Gay Brother, will be there entertaining you with their colourful shows. To top it off they have also booked UKG Legends Artful Dodger to add a little bit of british into the mix!

While the food is distinctly American ? think mac ?n? cheese and burgers ? the dishes have been given a festive twist. The seasonal menu offers up a camembert and cranberry mac ?n? cheese; deep fried turkey and pigs in blanket burgers; and pumpkin and cranberry (New York style) pizza. Accompany all that with a gingerbread espresso martini, or a honey tequila boozy hot chocolate and for those of you still feeling the Christmas magic, there?ll be plenty of mulled wine and cider.

Never mind that 7 hour flight because New York has been brought to you, London.
