Acts line up for launch of new London music night 'Pencil'

March sees the launch of a brand new music event for London, gathering together high calibre acts from across the world under the iconic bricked arches of the Village Underground.

Launching on March 9th, Pencil promises to bring you 'music with integrity', scouring the globe for fresh, exciting acts. And if the line-up for the launch party os anything to go by, they're certainly onto a good thing.

Headlining proceedings on the night will be London jazz rap outfit The Herbaliser, joined by Scotland funk heavyweights The Haggis Horns (Mark Ronson's favourite horn section in the world don't ya know), and gypsy jazz folksters Gabby Young and Other Animals who'll be bringing their unique 'circus-swing' sounds to the Village Underground. Also appearing is Norwegian new kid Eric Ness and his six-piece funk-folk band. 

As well as the music, there are plenty more treats in store including fire juggling, local artists, culinary delights and musical experimentation. It all kicks off at 9pm and funks on through until 4am.
